Mattress Sale signs or banners can be seen on almost any busy street corner. News flash, mattress retailers don’t have mattress sales every day. But these signs definitely drive customers in, or else the game wouldn’t be played. I call it a game simply because, well, it is a game.
Does Northwest Mattress Outlet Have Mattress Sales?
We are constantly asked this question by concerned customers. The answer is……..Yes, and no. Sure we’ll do a 10% off sale around the holidays or for a little advertising promotion. Maybe we’ll have a blowout sale on our closeout mattresses. So yes, we do have sales. The only difference is, we don’t jack up our prices prior to the sales only to have the price come down to our normal mark up, or just above that.
Mattress retailers know what customers are looking for, and they use this to their advantage. Northwest Mattress Outlet doesn’t hire salesmen; we hire educated customer service reps that are able and willing to take you through the excruciating process of buying a mattress. Our prices sell the beds themselves.
Mattress Sales and Playing Tennis
Our biggest pet peeve here at Northwest Mattress Outlet is being forced into playing a back and forth tennis match with customers. Now we’re not saying we don’t flex on our prices, we definitely do. And we make this clear, but our prices are simply that. Our prices! We shop the competition enough to know our prices come in at HUGE discounts below what the bigger stores can offer.
At Northwest Mattress Outlet we do our very best to figure out your budget, and get you under it comfortably. Again, we aren’t salesmen, our process is extremely easy. After years in sales and customer service, we’ve found out the one secret that actually works. You’ll never guess what it is. We listen. We listen to your wants, needs, past mattress experience, and what you expect out of your new mattress.
Our Showroom Is Extremely Luxurious
This may be another reason we’re not too concerned about all the flashy mattress sales going on. We’re in a very ugly warehouse spot here in Tualatin Sherwood Business Park. We are keeping our business model nice and simple so we’ll never have the high rent or showrooms with all the bells and whistles. Of course it can be a little off putting walking in to our store expecting to see a nice warm comfortable showroom, if you’re expecting this; we may not be the right store for you.
Mattress Sales Don’t Equal Savings
As stated above, most of the time when a mattress sale is going on, the values have been inflated, only to have them SLASHED by 50% or whatever % the sale is. Sad thing is, this works! People see these made up prices and actually think the mattress has sold for that amount in the past.
Even when we do have our mattress sales, the majority of the time we end up giving even deeper discounts than what we were planning. Why? Because we’re awesome, and we genuinely want each and every customer going home happy knowing they’ve got the best mattress possible all while staying under their budget.
